ONEXFLY F1 Pro Becomes The First Device To Integrate AMD's Strix Point "Ryzen AI 300" APUs But With A Hefty Price Tag
One-Netbook, a subsidiary of OneXPlayer, is set to release the first handheld to debut with AMD's "Strix Point" APUs.
Given the relatively faster adoption witnessed by AMD's Phoenix lineup, we expected Strix Point APUs to get the spotlight in the handheld markets, but that didn't happen until now. In a previous report, we covered the ONEXFLY F1 Pro in-depth and how it is set to revolutionize the industry with its gaming capabilities. And now, we have information about the initial pricing; by the looks of it, the ONEXFLY Pro is indeed a costly device.
The handheld is available in several configurations, ranging from the Ryzen AI 9 365 to the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. This includes a 32 GB LPDDR5x-7200 memory, along with 1 TB of storage capacity. If you are looking for higher storage, the manufacturer is also offering a 2 TB variant that is expected to start at $1199 for the 365 and $1439 for the 370 variant. A 4 TB model is also listed with the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 which will start at $1699 US.
All in all, the price range of all configurations is above the $1000 US mark, which is undoubtedly a considerable sum to pay for a handheld device, but considering the specifications onboard, it might not be a bad deal.
For a quick rundown on the ONEXFLY F1 Pro, the device offers a 7-inch 1080P 144Hz OLED display, yet again a one-of-a-kind perk, along with a 48.5 Wh battery, ensuring steady battery timing. Moreover, the device also offers 2x USB 4.0 connections, 1x USB-A 3.0, and a microSD card slot. The handheld comes in a premium design, with RGB-lightened joysticks and the manufacturer's branding on the sides, which complements the looks.
Recently, we were shown benchmarks around the performance of the ONEXFLY F1 Pro. It was revealed that the device managed to run Black Myth: Wukong at 50–60 FPS in 1080p low settings, which is certainly great for a compact device of this kind. Overall, the ONEXFLY F1 Pro targets the high-end segment of the handheld market, probably being the fastest of all out there, but the bigger question is whether it would similarly see retail adoption compared to ASUS and MSI.
