Windows 8.1 August Update Is Finally Here – Click Here For Features And Download Links
As we told you earlier, Microsoft has now introduced a monthly update schedule for Windows as well. The updates will now be based on customer feedback and the whole process is quite similar to the one on Xbox One. Well, this month's Windows update is here, as scheduled by Microsoft's Update Tuesday, according to which there will be updates for the popular operating system every month.
Focusing more towards the notebook and desktop platform, this month's Windows update features several improvements for the operating system. The interaction and usage of Touchpad for notebooks has been enhanced in this update through 'precision touchpad improvements'. According to 'precision touchpad improvements', three new end user settings have been added.
These allow the touchpad to stay on when a mouse is connected to the notebook, allows for right click on the touchpad and makes room for the double tap and drag action. Developer tools which enable the computer to become a Miracast server by exposing a set of Wi-Fi direct APIs for IHV drivers have also been added. In addition to this, few enhancements have been made to the SharePoint Online system as well. Login Prompts in SharePoint Online will now get reduced and through a 'Keep me signed in' checkbox you will have the option to get rid of them entirely.
While the improvements are minor in this update, if Microsoft continues the cycle, which it surely will, then we can expect to see a number of great updates in the future.
