Project ATOM was first revealed last year as a new cozy free-to-play party platformer from developer JNG Studio. Now, during today's ID@Xbox Spring Showcase 2026 event, it's still a cozy free-to-play party platformer, but it has an official title, as it is now called Totopia. Developer JNG Studio also confirmed that the game's first public beta playtest will take place next month, starting on May 7, 2026.

Totopia is really trying to be a flavour of an 'everything' game, as it combines life sim mechanics and a cartoon visual style with party platforming and a healthy dose of chaos to stir things up. For an easy comparison, Totopia looks like a mixture of Fall Guys and life sim mechanics, in case you ever thought about wanting to construct and design a little cottage home between the brightly coloured obstacle courses in Fall Guys.

You can sign up for the upcoming playtest now on the game's Steam page, which will start on May 7, as previously mentioned, and run until May 18, 2026. Totopia isn't just arriving on PC though, as today's news also comes with the reveal that it will also come to PlayStation, Xbox, and iOS and Android mobile devices.

The game will feature over 100 maps for players to jump through, each offering a new opportunity to show off your platforming prowess between solo and co-op trials, and you can then turn your winnings towards unlocking new cosmetics for yourself and your home within Totopia.

It's also worth noting that there's more to do in Totopia than just party platforming, as there are modes that harken to more third-person action and even a bit of naval combat. There's simply a lot to do on that side of the gameplay, and seemingly about as much on the cozier side of things where you can lay back, design your home, go fishing, and chat with the characters you meet in Totopia.

It currently doesn't have a release date, but if you're looking to jump in as soon as possible its beta test is around the corner.
