As leaked earlier today, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is a reimagining of Lara Croft's debut game, set to release next year, marking the 30th anniversary of the original game's release. It's being co-developed by Flying Wild Hog (Shadow Warrior, Evil West) and Crystal Dynamics. Here's an overview from the Steam page:

Experience the pinnacle of adventure with Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, a stunning reimagining of the 1996 genre-defining game. As Lara Croft, harness your wits and athleticism to explore exotic locations lost to time—from the jungles of Peru to the ancient ruins of Greece, the deserts of Egypt, and a mysterious Mediterranean island shrouded in myth. Traverse treacherous landscapes, solve deadly contraptions, and face lethal predators as you hunt for the scattered pieces of the Scion, an artifact of immeasurable power.

Whether you're a veteran raider or new to Lara's world, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis delivers jaw-dropping visuals powered by Unreal Engine 5, modern game design, and new surprises, while honoring the spirit and atmosphere of Lara Croft's debut adventure.

Meanwhile, Crystal Dynamics is hard at work on Tomb Raider: Catalyst, a brand new installment that the developer is describing as the biggest yet in the franchise. This game is scheduled for release in 2027.

Set in the aftermath of a mythical cataclysm that has unleashed ancient secrets and awakened mysterious guardian forces, Tomb Raider: Catalyst follows Lara Croft on a new adventure across northern India. When the world's most notorious treasure hunters descend on the region, Lara races to uncover the truth buried beneath the fractured landscape and stop those who would exploit its power for personal gain. As the ancient world collides with the present, Lara must decide whom to trust among her rivals and allies to prevent a catastrophe and protect a secret that could reshape the future.

Powered by Unreal Engine 5 as previously announced, Catalyst lets players explore a vast, seamless wilderness full of hidden secrets, ranging from towering mountains and vast deserts to dense jungles and mysterious ruins shrouded in myth. This dynamic environment will test both wits and skill. Lara will traverse a landscape full of secrets with her signature acrobatic prowess, delving into lost tombs packed with intricate puzzles and solving ancient mysteries with her unmatched brilliance and richly customised adventure tech.

There's been no mention of any kind of connection with the Amazon TV series, though there may be time later for that. By the way, Lara will once again be portrayed in both games by actress Alix Wilton Regan.
