Tales Of Berseria New Screenshots Showcase Locations, Characters, Battles And More
Tales of Zestiria has only been released last year in all regions on PlayStation consoles and PC, but Bandai Namco has already been hard at work on a new entry of their popular role playing game series called Tales Of Berseria. The new game has been revealed a few months ago, but the Japanese publisher has only recently started revealing more on it. Earlier today some new screenshots have emerged online, showcasing some of the game's features.
The new Tales Of Berseria screenshots focus on the game's locations, the two playable characters Velvet and Laphicet and battles. The Tales Of Berseria battle system is going to be especially interesting, as it will do away with many of the series' staples such as the special attacks called Artes no longer mapped to a single button, the ability to freely control the camera and much more.
Last month, it's been confirmed that Tales Of Berseria will be set in the same world as Tales of Zestiria, with the Wasteland actually being the Glenwood continent. A connection between Tales of Berseria and Tales of Zestiria has been rumored for quite some time and it's finally nice to know that the connection is indeed real and what it specifically is.
As mentioned above, the Tales of Berseria battle system is going to feel different than in previous entries of the series. For the first time ever, players will be able to move freely on the battlefield without having to use the Free Run feature, rotate the camera in battle and more. Artes will not longer be mapped to a limited number of buttons but to four different ones. The ability to be able to adjust the battle camera freely is a really welcome addition, considering the battle camera issues plaguing Tales of Zestiria.
Tales of Zestiria will be released on a yet to be confirmed date in North America and Europe on PlayStation 4 and PC. The game will also be released on PlayStation 3 in Japan.
