[Original Story] 2016 will be remembered as a great year by role playing games enthusiasts thanks to the release of several high profile releases, and it looks like 2017 won't be that different, considering another highly anticipated role playing game will be released in North America and Europe in the first few months.
During a recent Bandai Namco event focused on upcoming titles, the publisher has confirmed that Tales Of Berseria will be released in North America and Europe in early 2016. The publisher is working very hard on the Western localization, which will feature English and Japanese voiceovers and subtitles in six different languages. The news has also been confirmed by the Official Tales Of blog in a new post detailing some of the game's features.
Tales Of Berseria will feature a brand new battle system called Liberation Linear Motion Battle System, which will allow players to assign Artes to four different buttons and control the camera freely, unlike Tales of Zestiria.Among the new features of the Tales Of Berseria battle system is also the Soul Gauge, which will keep count of how many Souls each character has. Players can also increase their Soul value in battle by stealing Souls from enemies. As Souls are required to perform artes, players will always have to keep an eye on them at all times.
Tales Of Berseria will be released this August in Japan on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. The game will be released on PlayStation 4 and PC in the West sometime next year.
