AMD's latest Zen 5-based Ryzen 7 9700F could be available soon, since one of the system integrators has mentioned it in a pre-built system. However, both Ryzen 9700X and 9700F are mentioned on the same page.

BlazeCore Reveals Boost Clock of Ryzen 7 9700F in a Pre-Built Gaming PC, But Configuration Isn't Yet Updated

If you have been following the reports on Zen 5-based processors, you might be aware of AMD's two new SKUs in the Ryzen 9000 series. These were seen a few days ago in a retailer, and both are the very first SKUs in the Zen 5 lineup without any integrated graphics, which is denoted by the "F" designation at the end. While we haven't yet received any official confirmation about any of these SKUs from AMD, some leaks have proven that AMD is preparing both Ryzen 5 9500F and Ryzen 7 9700F.

Today, we saw the Ryzen 7 9700F being mentioned on Microless, a UAE-based retailer, which recently listed the most expensive ASUS ROG Astral RTX 5090 Dhahab and Astral RTX 5080 Dhahab CORE. The listing reveals BlazeCore's pre-built gaming system, featuring AMD's Ryzen 7 9700X processor, RTX 5060 Ti 8 GB, 16 GB DDR5 RAM, and 1 TB SSD. However, upon scrolling down to the description, we find that the retailer has also mentioned the "Ryzen 7 9700F" processor despite the CPU not being available in the actual configuration.

It could be a typo, but it's also possible that the system integrator wanted to update the configuration since the Ryzen 7 9700F shows a different boost clock. Compared to 5.5 GHz of boost clock on the Ryzen 7 9700X, the Ryzen 7 9700F has 100 MHz lower boost clock, i.e., 5.4 GHz. This may indicate that this particular gaming PC could also have a second configuration with the new Zen 5 CPU, but that remains speculative for now.

Technically, if BlazeCore replaces the Ryzen 9700X, the overall performance shouldn't be noticeably affected, as the 9700F offers an identical core/thread configuration, the same 3.8 GHz base clock, and the same amount of L3 cache. The only caveat is the absence of an iGPU, which can be useful in various circumstances. This is why the processor will cost less than the 9700X, but the recent listing showed a price tag of $294, which is higher than expected.
