AMD has reportedly prepared another Ryzen 9000 CPU for the desktop, which is going to be the second "F" variant, featuring 6 cores and 12 threads.
AMD's New Ryzen 9000 CPU Spotted on Geekbench; Ryzen 5 9500F is a New Budget Zen 5 CPU Without an iGPU With Performance Equivalent to Ryzen 5 9600
AMD has already begun expanding its Ryzen 9000 lineup by silently introducing newer SKUs. We recently saw Ryzen 5 9600 getting an official launch, and then came the first "F" variant called Ryzen 7 9700F, which isn't yet official but was confirmed by ASUS, boasting an 8-core/16-thread configuration. Once again, we are seeing another Zen 5 Ryzen 9000 SKU, which is an "F" variant, sharing the same core/thread configuration as the other Ryzen 5 9000 chips.

As spotted by @Benchleaks, someone tested the "Ryzen 5 9500F" on Geekbench 6, revealing some crucial information about the new processor. As we can see, it offers 6 cores and 12 threads, which is the standard configuration on all Ryzen 5 series processors. The processor boasts 32 MB of L3 cache, which is the same size seen on Ryzen 5 9600 and Ryzen 5 9600X, as well as its predecessor, the Ryzen 5 7500F.
Its clock speeds are quite close to those of the Ryzen 5 9600, featuring a base clock of 3.8 GHz and a boost clock of 5.0 GHz. The Ryzen 9600 is 200 MHz faster in the boost mode, and we don't think there are any other differences between the two other than the slower boost clock speed. The other major difference is obviously the absence of integrated graphics on the Ryzen 5 9500F.
- Ryzen 5 9600 Geekbench (Single / Multi) : 3,166 / 14,257
- Ryzen 5 9500F Geekbench (Single / Multi) : 3,122 / 14,369
As far as its performance goes, the Ryzen 9500F is on par with the Ryzen 5 9600. This is due to nearly identical specifications, and pricing-wise, we think it's going to be a sub-$200 CPU. Considering that the Ryzen 5 9600X is already at a sub-$200 price tag, it could be priced even lower than $179, which was the launch price of its predecessor, the Ryzen 5 7500F.
