According to an anonymous source, the Nintendo game lineup leaked yesterday may also include a Super Metroid remake and a new Wario Land game.

Let's rewind the rumor mill: yesterday, renowned leaker Nate the Hate shared a detailed look at the next wave of first-party games from Nintendo. The first to be released is supposedly a new "classic-style" Star Fox game with "very good visuals" and multiplayer. This game is expected to be available in June. Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave should launch in Summer 2026, possibly around July or August, alongside Splatoon Raiders, Rhythm Heaven, and a new Switch Sports game made for the Switch 2.

A remake of 1998's The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, considered among the best games ever made and still holding the record for the highest-rated game on Metacritic with a 99 review score, is also in development for the Nintendo Switch 2 and is targeting a late 2026 debut. FromSoftware's highly anticipated multiplayer-focused Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive, The Duskbloods, is allegedly launching in late 2026 as well. Finally, the long-awaited new 3D Mario will launch in 2027.

That's the list of rumors from Nate the Hate, but as discovered by the Reddit community, there's an anonymous user who posted the same list with a few additions before Nate the Hate's podcast went live. This mysterious leaker wrote:

A classic Starfox is coming in June, the adventure one is still coming but not in 2026. Super Metroid is also close, along with a new Switch Sports, a Wario Land title (possibly 2027), and Ocarina of Time remake for this year. I would love to also see 3D Mario this year, but I fear 2027 is the year to go.

A remake of the 1994 SNES classic Super Metroid was already rumored several years ago. It's hard to say if this would even be the same project, given that over six years have passed. As for Wario Land, the spin-off platforming series has been missing for many years; the last installment, Wario Land: Shake It!, was released in 2008 for the Nintendo Wii. Lately, Nintendo has utilized the character mostly in the WarioWare party game series, with releases like WarioWare: Get it Together! and WarioWare: Move It!.
