Steam Client To Get New Big Picture Mode Interface, Calendar System And More

Plenty of improvements are coming to the Steam client in the future, according to what Valve has recently revealed.

During a recent developers event in Barcelona, as reported by Twitter user Toni Dominguez, Valve has confirmed that they working on several improvements for the Steam client. Specifically, they mentioned a new interface for Big Picture Mode, a new Calendar system which will also introduce scheduled updates, livestreams and special XP weekends for specific titles, and a better implementation for Steam Reviews.

On a related note, Valve also confirmed that they are still working on games, but no one during the event mentioned the now legendary Half-Life 3.

Steam Big Picture Mode makes using Steam with TVs and controllers possible, allowing players to enjoy Steam games as if playing on a console.
