Respawn Entertainment, developer of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Titanfall and Apex Legends, among others, is working on some exciting new projects, according to Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson.

Speaking at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia & Technology Conference, as reported by VGC, Wilson talked about the development studio the publisher acquired back in 2017, highlighting how the acquisition was a good one, given the high-quality output of the studio.

“We haven’t done that many acquisitions, we’ve done a few. Respawn of course was maybe one of the most incredible acquisitions ever done in the industry. They’re an incredible team and they’ve created incredible value for us, for our shareholders, and certainly for these global communities of players across Apex and the Jedi series."

EA CEO Andrew Wilson also added that the studio, whose latest game is the aforementioned Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, is currently working on some new projects the publisher is really excited about. Specifics, unfortunately, were not provided.

"And you should imagine that there’s some other things going on at Respawn that we’re very excited about, that we’re not going to talk about but that we’re very excited about just given the quality of that group."

As the Star Wars Jedi series continues to be extremely successful, it is likely that one of the projects currently in the works at the studio is a third entry in the series. Despite some technical and performance issues, which have yet to be properly fixed, Cal Kestis' second adventure is an extremely engaging one, as highlighted by Kai in his review.

While Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was a surprise journey when it was first released, the time spent apart hasn’t made Cal Kestis’ adventures any less enjoyable. A similar framework in unfamiliar territories helps to establish Jedi: Survivor as a quality sequel to the original release. Jedi: Survivor still plays it safe in comparison to the prior game. It may be difficult to give Jedi: Survivor full marks for its individuality, but compared to the predecessor focused on Cal’s time as a Jedi Padawan, each title can stand up on its own merits, and Jedi: Survivor polishes up much of the experience as it propels the narrative ever forward on Cal Kestis’ journey to Tanalorr.
