Star Wars Battlefront Online Co-Op Confirmed For Skirmish Mode, Details On Weapons Used By AI Revealed


Two days ago, EA and DICE have confirmed that Star Wars Battlefront is finally getting an offline mode in the form of Skirmish Mode, which will also feature split-screen co-op mode on consoles. A few hours ago, some additional details on Skirmish Mode have been shared by a member of the team, confirming that co-op won't be limited to just split-screen.

A few hours ago, DICE's Designer David Spinner confirmed on Twitter that the new Star Wars Battlefront Skirmish Mode will also feature online co-op. This is definitely good news for PC players, as offline co-op is only going to be available on consoles.

David Spinnier has also revealed some additional details on how the AI will behave in the new Skirmish Mode. Apparently, the Ai will use a greater selection of weapons and vehicles, with rockets being used primarily as anti-vehicle weapons.

The Star Wars Battlefront Skirmish Mode, which will be made available next week, on July 20th, can be played on different difficulty levels across two modes, Walker Assault and Fighter Squadron.

The new mode will be available starting July 20 and offers players the option to play offline against bots in a solo mission or with a friend using co-op split screen. (Console only) Skirmish can be played on a difficulty level of your choosing and across two modes, Walker Assault and Fighter Squadron. With multiple locations that span the galaxy, from the frozen planet of Hoth to the lava encrusted planet of Sullust, we hope Skirmish brings players a new way to enjoy Star Wars Battlefront.

Star Wars Battlefront is now available in all regions on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The Skirmish mode will launch on all formats next week, on July 20th.
