Update: Shadow Complex Remastered is now available for free on PC for a limited time, so grab it as soon as you can via the Epic Games launcher! The game will also be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2016.

Original story: Shadow Complex Remastered is a real thing, and it's due for PC according to a listing on PEGI (Pan European Game Information)'s official site.

In case you're not familiar with PEGI, it's the most important rating board for games in Europe. The listing proves that the game has been played and reviewed by the board, though of course we'll have to wait to hear from the publisher to know more details about Shadow Complex Remastered.

Shadow Complex originally released as an Xbox 360 exclusive in 2009. A platform/adventure game in 2.5D, it went on to receive universal acclaim; it's considered to be among the very best Xbox Live Arcade titles.

It was developed by Chair Entertainment, which owns the Empire IP. Shadow Complex's plot is, in fact, meant to be a bridge between Orson Scott Card's Empire and Hidden Empire novels.

Given that Chair Entertainment is now busy working with JJ Abrams on SPYJINX, it seems likely that this version is being handled by another studio. We'll keep you updated as soon as more details emerge on Shadow Complex Remastered; in the meantime, take a look at this gameplay trailer of the original version.
