It is a round-the-clock leaks galore for Samsung's next-gen Galaxy S27 series today, with major tidbits getting disclosed one after the other, demystifying the camera setups on two key members of the S27 family: the base Galaxy S27 and the Galaxy S27 Pro.
Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro might sport a 200MP surprise, as the base S27 is now tipped to get a big upgrade on at least one secondary camera lens
We reported yesterday that Samsung was working on four Galaxy S27 models, with the Pro variant constituting a new addition.
As per the details, the Galaxy S27 Pro is likely to sport a 6.47-inch OLED screen, which means the new model's display will be just a tad bigger than the 6.3-inch one on the base Galaxy S26. Also, the Pro variant is likely to be around 6 percent smaller than its Ultra counterpart, provided Samsung retains the dimensions of the Galaxy S26 Ultra for its next-gen apex model.
Also, the Galaxy S26 Pro is expected to eschew the S Pen that has become a staple of Samsung's Ultra models. Even so, it is expected to maintain parity with the S27 Ultra on most specs.
Now, the famous tipster Ice Universe has penned a pertinent post, detailing that Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro will get an all-new 200MP main camera sensor, mirroring the Ultra variant in this respect. The Pro model will also get 2x 50MP rare camera sensors, presumably an ultra-wide and telephoto.
Meanwhile, another tipster, who goes by the name Schrödinger, has detailed that the base Galaxy S27 will feature a 50MP + 50MP + 12MP combo of rear cameras, with either the telephoto or ultra-wide lens receiving a 50MP upgrade.
