Samsung Captivate available for shipping from AT&T.

Samsung Captivate has just been available on AT&T for shipping and that just three days after the release of Samsung Vibrant. The new phone from Galaxy S features a 4-inch Super AMOLED Display WVGA touchscreen, UMTS/HSPA, WiFi b/g/n and 5-megapixel camera.

The phone is based on a 1Ghz Hummingbird core and comes with Android 2.1 with Samsung’s TouchWiz 3.0 UI, GPS, Bluetooth 3.0 and 720p HD video recording. The Onboard memory of the phone is 16GB which can be expanded more with a Miro SD card.

The smartphone is available for $199.99 with a new two-year agreement. AT&T’s contract-free price for the smartphone is $499.99.
