Although Samsung and Apple are at the top of their game, if customer satisfaction is not up to par, these companies normally run into issues. That is why, each year, the American Consumer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) releases a report that discusses companies that are at the top when it comes to customer satisfaction.
Samsung and Apple users seem to be pretty satisfied as far as their phones are concerned
Apple has been on top for some time, with Samsung fluctuating and sometimes even sharing the top spot with its biggest competition. Now, this year's report also shows that both the Galaxy and iPhone makers are on top, with 82/100 points for both companies.
For this survey, the ACSI interviewed 12,414 customers in the U.S. This happened between April 2023 and March 2024, and Samsung managed to catch up with Apple, all thanks to the ease of use of the operating system and the display quality - both of which I can verify. Over the years, the displays on Samsung phones have improved to the point that right now, the phones have the best displays that you could ask for. The same goes for the One UI experience, which has become much better than it used to be.
While Samsung and Apple are enjoying the top spot, Google has managed to lose a couple of points for customer satisfaction and is now at 77 points out of 100. Meanwhile, the other smartphone manufacturers in the market have managed to improve their position, not drastically, but still a good thing that they have managed to move up.
Aside from Samsung and Apple, the ACSI has also looked into carriers that are ranked by the customer satisfaction that they provide. Customer satisfaction regarding MNOs or Mobile Network Operators is higher than last year, with AT&T taking the first spot with a 78/100 score and T-Mobile taking the second spot with 77/100.
