Niantic has announced a new Pokemon GO update where players will benefit from daily bonuses once they perform a specific activity.
Daily Bonuses Are a Great Way to Keep Players Hooked to the Game
Pokemon GO offers no real incentive to users even if they play the game on a daily basis. But all of that is about to change, as Niantic has announced 'Daily Bonuses,' where players will be rewarded for performing a specific set of activities on a daily basis. But that is not all, if these activities are performed seven days in a row, Pokemon GO will reward the player with an even larger bonus.
Here are all the details which Niantic revealed in an official release:
Trainers,
We want to provide you a detailed look at a new feature coming soon to Pokémon GO - Daily bonuses! Trainers will soon be able to receive a bonus for certain daily activities, including catching a Pokémon or visiting a PokéStop once a day. You’ll earn a larger bonus if you do this seven days in a row!
Catching a Pokémon every day will earn the following bonus:
- 500 XP
- 600 Stardust
Catching a Pokémon every day for 7 days straight will earn the following larger bonus:
- 2,000 XP
- 2,400 Stardust
Visiting a PokéStop and spinning the Photo Disc every day will earn the following bonus:
- 500 XP
- A number of additional items
Visiting a PokéStop every day for 7 days straight will earn the following larger bonus:
- 2,000 XP
- A greater number of additional items
If you catch a Pokémon at any time on Tuesday local time, you’ll be eligible for the next daily bonus on Wednesday at 12 AM local time.
As you can see above, the bonuses are aimed towards a set of activities which you have to follow. If you manage to immerse yourself into a seven day streak, then the bonus goes through the roof, granting you a lot of XP, items and Stardust. Quite frankly, this is a great way to get users hooked into the game. Nothing beats the good old technique of showering fans with a boatload of free stuff.
