Following a relatively quiet start to the year in terms of announcements, Sony has announced a massive PlayStation State of Play for Tuesday, June 2, 2026. Unlike previous presentations, this State of Play was a lengthy one, kicking off the summer gaming season with many exciting reveals and updates.

Everything Announced
First-Party
- God of War Laufey – Official announcement with 20 minutes of footage. Stars Faye as she fights through the Everywhen, the afterlife of the gods, with the fluidity of the Greek Saga and the personal combat of the Norse Saga. Release date to be announced (though likely 2027).
- Marvel’s Wolverine – Gameplay deep dive featuring motorcycle riding, Jean Grey (telekinesis), Sabretooth, and bloody combat.
Third-Party
- Phantom Blade Zero – New trailer showcasing new locations and enemies. More information coming later this summer, ahead of the October 29 release.
- Dune: Awakening – New trailer announced a September 22, 2026 launch on consoles, and a new single-player mode.
- Control Resonant – Story trailer provided a new look at the warped Manhattan and the September 24, 2026 release date.
- Silent Hill: Townfall – New trailer confirmed September 24, 2026 release.
- Onimusha: Way of the Sword – New trailer confirmed September 25, 2026 and playable demo available today.
- Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls – New trailer confirmed Magneto, Carnage, and Green Goblin for the launch roster.
- Rayman Legends Retold – 3D remake of the latest entry in the series launching October 1, 2026.
- Dynasty Warriors 3 Complete Edition Remastered – Remaster of the classic PS2 title launches October 1, 2026 on PC and consoles.
- Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve – New trailer confirmed October 2, 2026 launch.
- No Rest for the Wicked – New trailer confirmed version 1.0 hits PS5 and PC this October, skipping Xbox and Switch 2 at launch.

- Until Dawn 2 – Surprise reveal from Firesprite. Set on a spooky abandoned resort island, the horror is set to begin in 2027.
- Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis – New trailer confirmed delay to February 12, 2027
- Kemuri: Hunt the Unseen – Stylized city action title with 3-player co-op slated for 2027.
- ILL – Hyper-violent horror game about a man waking from a coma in a zombie apocalypse. Scheduled for 2027.
- The Lost Wild – A dinosaur-themed survival horror game set on a mysterious island with a heavy focus on stealth and animal AI behaviors. Scheduled for 2027.
Indies, Live Service & PS Plus
- Bancho The Chef – From Mintrocket, the developer of Dave the Diver, comes another unique experience focused on precision cooking.
- Stuntman: Hollywood – New entry in the movie stunt driving game series featuring the Back to the Future's DeLorean and Knight Rider’s KITT.
- Marathon Season 2 – New Gameplay trailer showcasing the new season now available to play.
- Runescape: Dragonwilds – Coming to PS5 as a Day One PS Plus title later this year.
- PS Plus Premium Classics – Gitaroo Man (June), Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy (July), and Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams (August).
