The Pixel Watch 3 was announced on August 13th and marked several improvements from its predecessor. One standout aspect was the two sizes it came in and also the peak brightness that allows for better outdoor visibility. Google often showcases the Pixel products' design and features in visually appealing videos, and the latest video seems to be about the design of the Pixel Watch 3. The video features an unreleased layout featuring a Concentrated watch face for the wearable. The layout in the video seems to focus on minimal and clean aesthetics.

A new Pixel Watch 3 design video reveals an unreleased update to the Concentric watch face

Made by Google released a new video featuring the Pixel Watch 3 and highlighting its design elements. One of the first things that grabbed our attention in the recent showcasing was the Concentric watch face, which has not yet been released. The design features varied elements arranged in the central part of the watch face, giving it a more defined and structured look that improves readability due to the more symmetrical pattern.

The unrelated Concentric layout highlighted in the video is not featured in any of the Pixel Watch models but resembles the Dial I Watch face, where the hour markers are prominently displayed to improve readability, which remains Google's classic approach for its smartwatch interfaces. The new Concentric design adds a unique element to the existing one by introducing a ring of four complications placed between the minute and second markers.

The new Concentric watch face enhances the overall look and functionality by making it clutter-free, allowing easier access to information, and keeping the modern aesthetic in view. The evolution in the layout further highlights Google's ongoing efforts to ensure a blend of functionality and design is offered, especially for its wearables. While the new watch face has not yet been released, the recent video could be hinting at a future update.

Additionally, the bottom slots display the heart rate and battery percentage. However, we do not see the VO2 Max or cardio fitness score as a complication. Given the graphics with the two waves and a numerical value, the fourth slot most likely features a breathing rate.

The video also displays watch faces from the wearable lineup, including Track, Field, and Active. The Pixel Watch and Watch 2 have not yet received any new faces in 2024, so whether the Pixel Watch 3 will get the Concentric face as an update is still in the air till Google officially confirms it. Nonetheless, seeing it being more than a mere concept would be refreshing.
