OnePlus 6T Fails To Impress In Its Latest Performance Related Leak
We’ve got a handful of days left before the OnePlus 6T is official. Over the course of 2018, information for the gadget has surfaced regularly on official and unofficial channels. The device will feature a lot of changes over its predecessor. These would have been sufficient to classify the gadget as a generational upgrade over the OnePlus 6 were it not for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845. Speaking of which, we’ve got a benchmark for the OnePlus 6T today. Take a look below for more details.
OnePlus 6T’s GeekBench Score Fails To Impress As The Smartphone Fails To Improve Over Its Predecessor
If we’re honest and candid, then all the information that has surfaced for the OnePlus 6T so far paints it as a confused device. OnePlus’ ‘T’ upgrades are directly inspired by Apple’s ‘S’ upgrades for the iPhone. However, the OnePlus 6T promises some big changes that do not suit the philosophy behind an ‘S’ upgrade.
Today we’ve got a benchmark for the OnePlus 6T which doesn’t show an upgrade in performance for the smartphone. Before we get to it, it’s relevant to note that the OnePlus 6 scores 2400 points in single, and 8800 points in multi-core tests conducted by GeekBench.
It isn’t surprising that the OnePlus 6T doesn’t show improvements in performance. However, this lack will make it difficult for OnePlus to justify increasing the gadget’s price, should it choose to do so. OnePlus is rumored to conduct a global carrier and physical retail launch of the smartphone. This will impact the gadget’s price, but users might not pay a significantly higher amount than that for the OnePlus 6, if the smartphone’s successor doesn’t demonstrate a marked performance improvement.
However, other new features on the OnePlus 6T will make the gadget an attractive option. OnePlus will increase battery capacity, provide users with a brand new display and introduce virtual fingerprint recognition on the OnePlus 6T. These features alone make the device an attractive package. Thoughts? Let us know what you think in the comments section below and stay tuned. We’ll keep you updated on the latest.
