Almost all the RTX 50 series cards are now dropping quickly in their prices, with the RTX 5070 being the latest to see a lower-than-MSRP price tag in Japan.

Gainward GeForce RTX 5070 Python III Listed for Roughly 18% Lower Price Than MSRP in Japan; Sees Price Reductions in NA and EU as Well

We recently reported on the GeForce RTX 5080 and RTX 5070 Ti dropping in prices around the world, and now it's time for the GeForce RTX 5070, which was officially launched for $549. The price tag is generally higher in other non-NA regions such as the EU and EMEA, and in Japan, it was launched for 108,800 Yen, which is roughly $747 at today's conversion rate.

This is quite high compared to the NA market and matches the RTX 5070 Ti MSRP. However, the GPU wasn't available even at this price since the availability was quite poor. Thankfully, it is now seeing sharp price reductions as spotted by Gazlog. One of the custom RTX 5070 editions was just listed for around 20,000 Yen lower than MSRP.

The store, PC Koubou, currently lists the Gainward GeForce RTX 5070 Python III for just 89,980 Yen, which translates to $618. This is the lowest the RTX 5070 has dropped to since its launch, and is almost at the same price level as the RTX 5070 cards available at major NA retailers. We checked Amazon Japan and saw poor GPU availability, but on TSUKUMO, the MSI RTX 5070 Ventus 2X OC was surprisingly available for 99,800 Yen, which is still a good 10,000 Yen lower than the MSRP.

Compared to the previous month, the GPU has dropped in price drastically, as can be seen from the graph, but this trend can also be seen in the NA and EU markets. On Amazon, one can find the GeForce RTX 5070 for around $600 with good availability. Similarly, many RTX 5070 editions are available for $600 on Newegg.

We checked the price trend on Geizhals and found that some RTX 5070 GPUs have dropped close to €560, which is roughly €110 lower than the launch price of RTX 5070 in Germany. With this speed, most RTX 5070 GPUs should be available at MSRP or even lower in most parts of the world in a week or two.
