NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Dual Fan Founder’s Edition Pictured
We're less than 9 hours away from NVIDIA's highly anticipated GeForce 20 series gaming graphics card launch at Gamescom and the heat is turning all the way up to 11 in the leak scene. Once again, thanks to videocardz, we have a whopper for you today.
Turns out a rumor that we had reported on a couple weeks back about NVIDIA building a dual fan Founder's Edition Turing graphics card turned out to be true. This truly bizarre looking graphics card is NVIDIA's brand new reference design i.e. Founder's Edition RTX 2080 Ti.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Dual Fan Founder's Edition Card Pictured
This is the first ever reference designed graphics card from NVIDIA to feature a multi-fan air cooled design, rather than the standard single blower affair. It has two large axial fans with 2080 Ti inscribed in the middle between them.
The card does look very unique with the fans raised up, blowing air onto a heatsink that appears to be inside a fully enclosed chassis. Perhaps this is still a blower design, although a very elaborate one, that exhausts heat out the back and possibly the top of the card. Which can explain the raised up fans and the closed-in design. Besides the overall unusual look of the card, it certainly maintains the traditional black and silver aesthetic that we've become accustomed to with NVIDIA's reference designs.
We had no idea that the 2080 Ti even existed until a few days ago, when we learned that the company had been planning to launch a XX80 Ti class card alongside its XX80 graphics card simultaneously, for the first time in its history. If you anticipate the RTX 2080 Ti is going to be a little too rich for your blood, check out the RTX 2070. A potential 1080 Ti killer at a price of roughly four hundred bucks.
If NVIDIA's new Founder's Edition doesn't quite do it for you, fear not. NVIDIA's Add-in-board partners are preparing an army of custom cooled and factory overclocked RTX 2080 & 2080 Ti graphics cards for you to choose from. We've already seen nearly two dozen cards leak from a half dozen different AIBs and we've compiled every single one of them here, for your viewing pleasure.
in the meantime strap-in, Gamescom is about to get it unbelievably exciting.
