One of my favorite phones released this year is the Nothing Phone 2, as it showed that the company is actually looking to break away from the traditional means of making a phone and delivering something special. Sure, we still haven't seen a true flagship from the company, but it appears that the company is taking Google's approach as a new phone from the company dubbed Nothing Phone 2a has surfaced, and this could be a more affordable version.
The Nothing Phone2a could be an affordable variant of the Nothing Phone 2 with a similar design
The Nothing Phone 2a carries the model number AIN142. The phone is said to have a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with a center hole-punch camera and a transparent back panel in line with the Nothing design language.

A new Nothing Phone (Not the Phone 3) is in work 🔥✅Model Number :- AIN142
✅Name :- Nothing Phone 2a
Some known information i got :-
✅6.7 inch AMOLED screen
✅Centre alligned punch Hole display
✅Back panel of the device looks like the photo given#Nothing… pic.twitter.com/peJTz6CtIt— Sanju Choudhary (@saaaanjjjuuu) November 27, 2023
Now, the back panel could easily be confused with the one on the predecessor, but the Nothing Phone 2a has no cutout in the larger LED, which could indicate that we are not getting as many LEDs on the phone this time. Which further makes sense if this is an affordable device.
Sadly, at the time of writing, we don't have any details on the Nothing Phone 2a besides the ones we shared with you. The source claims that they have seen the device in person, which could indicate that it is much closer to its launch. Given the information, it is obvious that the device is not a part of the CMF by Nothing, so we are definitely getting something that would be cheaper than the predecessor but still deliver on the promise.
Considering how we are nearing the end of the year, the probability of the Nothing Phone 2a coming out right now seems a bit low. Still, we will keep you posted if more information comes up regarding this supposedly affordable phone comes to light.
