The Nothing Phone 2 has been making waves for some time now and for all the right reasons. The original took the market by storm thanks to the Glyph Lights on the back, but the phone itself was actually really good and a step away from everything that Android manufacturers had to offer. Naturally, this year's sequel has us hyped, and now Carl Pei has finally revealed when the phone is coming out, along with some other details.
Carl Pei reveals how he hopes that Nothing Phone 2 could be an alternative to iPhone for people who want something different
In an interview with Forbes, Carl Pei revealed that the Nothing Phone 2 will be coming out in July 2023, and the phone is going to be available all over the world, including in the U.S., a market that the company skipped last year at launch.
Pei has mentioned that the U.S. market is very important for the company, and Pei has mentioned how he wants the Nothing Phone 2 to serve as an alternative to iPhone in the market. "With the US being a very Apple dominated market with no real option for people looking for an alternative, it represents a good opportunity for Phone (2)," he told Forbes' David Phelan.
Aside from revealing when the Nothing Phone 2 is coming out, Pei has also revealed that the phone will have a larger 4,700 mAh battery. we already know that the phone is going to ship with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, so you are looking at a pretty decent device in the market.
Honestly, I am really looking forward ot the Nothing Phone 2. The original still is one of the best phones that I have had the chance to look at, and the new one will be better in almost every way. I believe these phones have the potential to disrupt a market saturated with designs that look almost the same, and at this point, it has become a number game. The one thing that I am really excited to learn is the price of the new phone. I am hoping it is priced under $600 as it will become the best phone to get, considering how the Pixel 7a and the Galaxy A54 cost $499.
