[Update] Hello Games has finally released the official patch notes for the 1.09 update on both PC and PS4.

Patch 1.09 PS4

Patch 1.09 PC

[Original story] Developer Hello Games has released No Man’s Sky update 1.09 for the PS4. Patch notes haven't been provided, but we managed to get a few additional details anyway.

As said, patch details are absent once again, but if Hello Games is to be believed, the update delivers “more bug fixes” on Sony’s console. Since the update is 733 MB in size, that’s quite some bug fixing right there.

On the No Man’s Sky subreddit, user Undertaker59 has posted some of the changes that come with the update.

Stacking exploit removed. You can keep using any existing stacks you have however.

Some reports of slightly improved graphics and sounds.

Reported that saves are quicker.

A report of finding the last missing fauna discovery quickly.

Can no longer hold down square while uploading multiple discoveries, nor triangle when moving multiple pieces of inventory.

The previous No Man’s Sky update, patch 1.08, also seemed a mystery at first as Hello Games didn’t provide a change log for that patch either. Patch notes for update 1.07, were shared via the Steam Experimental Branch some weeks ago, but Hello Games 'forgot' to release patch details for that update as well.

No Man’s Sky released last month for PS4 and Steam PC, but appeared broken at first. Several patches were released to make the game playable on PC. Since its release, the amount of active players have dropped by more than 90%, and many players have applied for a refund due to the simple fact that Sean Murray’s title just doesn’t deliver on what was initially promised. Sony president, Shuhei Yoshida, recently stated that he can  relate to some of the No Man’s Sky criticism. He added that PR for the game’s wasn’t handled properly, and sort of blamed Murray for promising more features in the game from day one.

No Man’s Sky is available now for PC and Playstation 4.
