The Humble Bundle is something fun to look forward to, but it's never quite been able to fulfill the console gamers needs. That is until now. Just today they launched the Humble Nindie Bundle, a collection of independent titles for the Wii U and 3DS.
Nintendo rightfully get it's very own Humble Bundle to celebrate the fantastic titles available on its platforms.
In the first time in the short history of the Humble Bundle, a console is getting its very own bundle, and it Nintendo is being graced with this honor. Pay what you want for up to nine fantastic independent games for the 3DS and the Wii U.
Paying below $10 gets you Guacamelee! Whoa Dave! and Mighty Switch Force! Paying anything above $10 gets you all those plus Stealth Inc 2 and SteamWorld Dig. Paying the average of (as of right now) $9.24 and you can add on The Fall, OlliOlli and Moon Chronicles Episode 1. Altogether it would add up to a hefty $88 without this great opportunity.
Once purchased, all of the games can be redeemed on the Nintendo eShop.
The inclusion of a console bundle is unexpected and yet unsurprising. It was only a matter of time before any of the console platforms became featured. And it's fitting that Nintendo, with an excellent lineup of both AAA and independent games, becomes the first of such.
Now hopefully this becomes something of a regular occurrence and perhaps even expanding to the digital stores of other consoles as well. To do so, unfortunately, would require some cooperation from the console makers themselves.
