A recent entry in the race is Finnish company, Nokia which is now under the leadership of HMD Global. While this partnership did launch good devices last year, it didn't make the impact more optimistic folks would like to see. 2018's a new year and now, we're starting to hear whispers of an alleged Nokia 10. Chinese Source Shares Details On Alleged Nokia 10 That's Stated As Company's 2018 Flagship Smartphone
It's tough to compete in the flagship smartphone market. Make the wrong move at the right time, and you'll be set back for at least a year. No one knows this better than Korean tech giant Samsung. Its failure with the Note7 resulted in setbacks which affected other gadgets as well. Nokia came to light last year, after its middle end smartphones performed spectacularly in Chinese markets. But the company could not follow up with a strong flagship smartphone.
In this regard, it's the Nokia 9 that graced sources regularly last year. However, as the year ended, so did our hopes for the deice's launch. However, now it looks like Nokia isn't out of the flagship smartphone race yet. The company will launch the Nokia 10 this year, a smartphone capable of matching other high-end offerings adequate competition at least on paper.
The latest information, from a single source points towards a five camera lens design on the Nokia 10. This reminds us of Nokia's last such attempt,, when it launched a smartphone with a 41MP rear camera. But this time, the company has its feet strongly set in the ground. Other specifications rumored for the Nokia 10 is the Snapdragon 845, an 18:9 display and a glass back which hints at wireless charging.
The source claims to belong at Foxconn's R&D, but right now we'd suggest you t take this information with a grain of salt. If the Nokia 10 does exist, more information for the device will surface in the near future. A five lens camera design is unique, but it's overboard too. Will Nokia be able to sell it?
