A new trailer has been released for the upcoming new entry in the Guilty Gear series, showcasing three returning characters.

The trailer, which can be watched below, shows series mainstays Sol Badguy and Ky Kiske as they fight in an intense match. While the game doesn't look too different from the Guilty Gear Xrd games, there are some definite enhancements in the camera work for special attacks that make everything look extremely good. at the end of the trailer, it's also confirmed that May will be in the game with a brand new design.

Released for the first time in 1998, the 2D fighting game series GUILTY GEAR celebrated its 20th birthday in 2018. We know you have already seen the trailer of the long-awaited newcomer to the series. And we will reveal another one during the upcoming CEOtaku, which will take place on September 27-29th, 2019. Do not miss it! Release is planned for 2020!

The latest entry in the series is Guilty Gear Xrd, with Xrd Rev 2 being the latest revision for the game. While the single-player content is somewhat lacking, especially the new story mode, Xrd Rev 2 is an excellent fighting game well worthy of fans' time.

Guilty Gear is a hardcore fighter, both to its benefit and its detriment. On the one hand, fighting game players will adore the game for its fast paced gameplay, beautiful art style and deep tools for learning advanced techniques, but for anyone not either immersed in fighting games or the Guilty Gear series it’s a tough, if not impossible sell. A wonderful game, but not one likely to earn any new fans.

The new Guilty Gear launches sometime in 2020 on yet to be confirmed formats.
