The GPU prices are dropping faster than before, with the RTX 5090 now being sold at MSRP or even lower in some cases.

NVIDIA RTX 5090 Drops Below €2,000 for the First Time as Seen on Mindfactory; Several More Editions are Closer to MSRP

The RTX 50 series GPU prices are seeing rapid changes, and we have seen many of these cards dropping closer to their MSRP. The flagship GeForce RTX 5090, which usually sits for over $2500, is now getting closer to its official price tag and, in some cases, drops even below it. While this is still rare, it's becoming more frequent these days.

The latest instance is the appearance of the MSI GeForce RTX 5090 Ventus 3X OC edition on Mindfactory for just €1,999. NVIDIA launched the RTX 5090 at €2,229 in the EU, and therefore, this is the first and one of the rarest occurrences. Right now, the MSI Ventus 3X OC has climbed back to nearly a whopping €2,698, but you can still buy it for €10 less than MSRP from Alza.de, which is another German store.

We checked on Geizhals, which shows that the GeForce RTX 5090 has been continuously dropping in prices in the past few days. Several editions are now in the €2,200-€2,500 price range, which is much better compared to the past few weeks. The RTX 5090 had quite poor availability for months, but the situation is getting better in different regions.

Similarly, other RTX 50 series GPUs such as the RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti, and RTX 5070 are also seeing noticeable price cuts at various retailers. The prices are still somewhat higher than MSRP in most areas, but they used to be 40-50% higher initially. We still advise our readers to wait for a few more days or for 2–3 weeks to let the pricing stabilize.

As far as the Radeon RX 9070 series is concerned, the RX 9070 XT is also coming closer to its announced MSRP. Some editions have dropped to €700, which is quite close to the MSRP of €689 in Europe. Geizhals shows that editions such as the Gigabyte Radeon RX 9070 XT Gaming OC have come down by nearly €40 compared to last month.

The RX 9070 is seeing even a sharper drop, and the Acer Nitro Radeon RX 9070 OC is now at €600, which is €29 lower than its MSRP. Hopefully, we will see other GPUs seeing such drops in the coming days, as the GPU market has been unstable for almost six months.
