Microsoft has Marketing Rights To A “Major Unannounced AAA” Game, Insider Says

Next-Gen Xbox Development Kit is Codenamed Anaconda

Microsoft has allegedly acquired the marketing rights to a major AAA game that has yet to be announced.

That’s what well-known industry insider Shinobi602 claims on Twitter. “So there's a major unannounced AAA that Microsoft has marketing on”, he tweeted. “Not bad Xbox. Bring on E3”, he added.

Shinobi602 is known for his accurate leaks in the past, and while he didn’t provide more details, Windows Central editor Jez Corden claimed that the marketing deal is related to the rumored next Assassin’s Creed, Assassin’s Creed Origins. According to Corden, this is an educated guess, and that appears to be what most users on the NEOGAF forums are thinking about as well.

As always, take the information above with a grain of salt as nothing has been officially confirmed at this point.

Rumors surrounding the next Assassin’s Creed have been popping up like mushrooms after a rain, and earlier this week, the game’s first screenshot allegedly surfaced.
