Sadly, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe won't include any new track. During the Nintendo Switch Japanese presentation, the Japanese company confirmed that the game will feature 48 tracks at launch, which is the total number of tracks featured in the original Mario Kart 8 release. If we are getting additional tracks, it will only be through DLC.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will also come with improved resolution, with the game running at 1080p with the Switch docked.

Hit the road with the definitive version of Mario Kart 8 and play anytime, anywhere! Race your friends or battle them in a revised battle-mode on new and returning battle courses. Play locally in up to 4-player multiplayer in 1080p while playing in TV Mode. Every track from the Wii U version, including DLC, makes a glorious return. Plus, the inklings appear as all-new guest characters, along with returning favorites, such as King Boo, Dry Bones, and Bowser Jr.!

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe launches on Nintendo Switch on April 28th in all regions. We will let you know more about the game as soon as possible, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
