Why iOS 18 would be an important update for the iPhone

We have previously covered that Apple is working on a wide range of AI-powered features for iOS 18. It was recently discovered that Apple is working on AI tools to edit, manipulate, and animate still images. The company is using large language models to train the tools, and it could offer a boatload of editing features with the launch of iOS 18.

Apple was also reported to enhance Siri through its large language models as the digital assistant rests miles behind Google and Amazon. The company is training Siri to understand the context concerning natural language commands and accomplish complex tasks like controlling third-party apps. While concrete details are scarce at this stage, Apple will showcase iOS 18 at its WWDC event in June with more details.
