The Last of Us Part II Is Being Co-written With Westworld Writer Halley Gross
Being one of the most popular games released in recent times, it's not surprising that The Last of Us is getting a sequel. The Last of Us Part II has been announced last weekend during the PlayStation Experience 2016, but very little is currently known about the game, other than the fact that Ellie and Joel will be back for the joy of the fans of the original game. A few hours ago, however, Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann confirmed another interesting detail about the game.
On his official Twitter profile, Neil Druckmann confirmed that The Last of Us Part II is being co-written together with Halley Gross who has worked, among other things, to the incredibly popular TV show Westworld

Shortly after the announcement, Neil Druckmann talked about The Last of Us Part II and what they hope to achieve with the game.
I can’t tell you how satisfying it is to finally be able to say that Ellie and Joel are back for another intense, harrowing, and emotional adventure. Like many of you, we have a deep love for the world of The Last of Us and its characters, and while a sequel may have seemed like a foregone conclusion, it wasn’t the case. We knew that it needed to be a story worth telling and, perhaps more importantly, a story worthy of Joel and Ellie. After spending years on different ideas (and almost giving up), we finally uncovered a story that felt special—a story that evolved into an epic journey.
The Last of Us Part II launches on a yet to be confirmed date on PlayStation 4. We will keep you updated on the game as soon as more comes in on it, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
