Not just NA or EU, but some Asian regions are also seeing a noticeable increase in demand for AMD GPUs, particularly the RDNA 4 cards, which helped AMD gain more GPU market share this year.

It has never been better for AMD, whether you consider its dominance in the CPU segment or its rise in the GPU market as well. While still much behind NVIDIA, it is slowly rising, claiming more GPU market share than ever in the last decade. We recently reported that AMD's RX 9070 XT is able to outsell almost all the RTX 50 series combined at a major German retailer, and while this isn't the case in other regions, users are reportedly showing a lot of interest in the latest AMD RDNA 4 series.

According to Danawa, the Korean DIY market is seeing a sharp rise in the AMD GPU market share, with users opting for the latest AMD GPUs like Radeon RX 9070 XT and even previous-gen Radeon RX 7700 XT. Last year, AMD hardly had 15% of the total GPU market share, but this year (as per six months' data), AMD is up at around 21%, leaving NVIDIA with 76% of the market share and 3% for Intel. If you take a look at the market share in the last 10 years, AMD has never reached such a point except for 2019, and a lot of credit goes to the RX 9000 series GPUs.

In the first quarter of 2025, Radeon RX 7700 XT helped AMD gain a significant amount of GPU share, but since the launch of RDNA 4 GPUs, both RX 9070 XT and RX 9060 XT are the two most crucial GPUs that boosted AMD's market share. For NVIDIA, it's the RTX 50 60-class and 70-class cards, which are the most popular in South Korea, with GeForce RTX 5060 reaching over 20% of the total GPU market share. The GeForce RTX 5070 sits in the second position with about 17% share, the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti at 10%, and the RTX 5060 Ti at around 9%.

Both the Radeon RX 9070 XT and 9060 XT grabbed around 7% of market share each, and the rest of the list mostly contains NVIDIA GPUs. It could have been incredible if AMD had more GPUs in the RDNA 4 lineup, particularly direct rivals to the RTX 5080, but it appears that AMD will likely continue with slower cards, like the Radeon RX 9060 (non-XT), which the company recently announced silently. Budget GPUs also do quite well, and you can see that the Radeon RX 7600 is still the most popular RX 7000 series GPU in 2025.
