Jagged Alliance 3 is coming soon to consoles, publisher THQ Nordic announced today in a press release. More specifically, the game will be released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S|X at a suggested price of $59.99.

The press release boasts of the game's success among critics, having averaged an 81 score on Metacritic. Our own Chris Wray rated the game even higher than that, 8.5 out of 10, summarizing his experience in the following final remarks:

Jagged Alliance 3 marks a long-awaited triumphant return for the franchise, with the last undeniably great release being Jagged Alliance 2 over twenty years ago. Creating an exceptional balance on both a strategic and tactical level, bringing back character attributes and progression, an entire inventory system, perks and more, forcing you to balance your broader economy and ensuring you can't just sit back - Haemimont Games have successfully created a game that will challenge, that I have found compelling and fun, and one that has kept me hooked into a "just one more day" loop and a few very late nights at that.

There's no release date yet, but the Limited Tactical Edition might have spoiled it: THQ Nordic said it is saving 550 units of this special Jagged Alliance 3 edition for the console launch, and as you can see on this THQ Nordic store page, it is listed for a November 16th release.

Here's the Limited Tactical Edition overview, at any rate:

  • Outdoor case, 100% water- and dustproof & IP67 certified
    • Outer dimensions: 258 x 243 x 118 mm
    • Inner dimensions: 235 x 180 x 106 mm
  • Heavy Duty Tactical Belt for your pants
  • Tactical Belt Pouch for your gadgets
  • A.I.M. Pin
  • Set of 36 Character Cards
  • Original Soundtrack on disc

Mind you, it does not include the game, and it is nonetheless priced at €79.99.
