This means that there is a good chance the company will release the update soon for all iPhone models. The update will be minor in scale compared to iOS 18.1, which will introduce Apple Intelligence to the world for the first time.
As for what will be part of the update, it is simple - iOS 18 launched with some bugs, including touchscreen issues, where the device would not register taps and swipes as intended. Other than this, iOS 18 also comes with a bug that crashes the Messages app when a person shares or receives a watch face from another iPhone. Lastly, iPadOS 18 is also bricking some M4 iPad Pro models, rendering them useless. While the company has pulled the update, the issue remains to be resolved.
There is no set date for the release of iOS 18.0.1, but we suspect that the update will arrive next week or the week after. In any case, the update should be here before the company releases iOS 18.1, which is slated to arrive in the second half of October, possibly alongside the announcement of the new M4 Macs and iPad mini 7.
