iPhone 6 May Sport Smaller Screen Than Expected.
The iPhone 6 and the Galaxy S5 are all the hype these days. We are experiencing widespread predictions , some of which are bogus while some are acceptable but none are highly credible. According to a recent report, the upcoming iPhone champion, the iPhone 6 will sport a 4-inch screen which is perfectly in line with it's predecessors.
iPhone 6 May A Have 4-inch Screen
Contradicting previous rumors this news can be termed as a drawback. According to some surveys conducted at various mobile related sites, the screen size of 4.5-5 inches is considered to be the most appropriate when it comes to smartphones. This is the current statistic, two years back the screen size of 4-4.5 inches was considered to be acceptable by the public.
This new rumor regarding the iPhone 6 screen size states that although the screen size will remain at 4 inches, the resolution will be beyond doubt increased. The current resolution of 1136 x 640 pixels provides a 326 ppi which is well under the "Retina" standard of Apple. This however pales in comparison to some 4K resolution screens which sport ppi's above 500.
Expect the Aspect ratio of the screen stay the same, even with the increase in resolution. This is a setback and we sincerely hope that Apple bumps the screen size of the iPhone 6 to atleast 4.5 inches, or adopt a two prong strategy by unleashing two phones of different screen sizes.
