iPhone 15 Pro Factory Mold Shows Volume and Action Buttons

Apple will launch its highly-anticipated iPhone 15 Pro models later this year. It was initially coined that the 'Pro' models will adopt a solid-state solution for the Volume and Power buttons. It was later revealed that Apple has reserved the feature for the iPhone 16 Pro models due to technical difficulties in production. While it is not yet clear what design the company will go for later this year, we are seeing dummy units and factory molds of the iPhone 15 Pro, highlighting what users should expect.

A video was posted on the Chinese social networking website Weibo and shared by a leaker on Twitter. The video shows a factory mold of the iPhone 15 Pro that reveals interesting and somewhat conflicting details that we have previously heard regarding the unit. In a recently released video of the dummy unit of the iPhone 15 Pro Max or iPhone 15 Ultra, it can be seen that it features a single elongated Volume button.

In the latest factory mold video of the iPhone 15 Pro, the Volume buttons appear to be split, similar to what we use right now in the entire iPhone 14 series. It was previously reported that the iPhone 15 Pro models will feature a single elongated Volume button. The reports of an elongated Volume button surfaced when the device was rumored to feature solid-state buttons. Other than this, the iPhone 15 Pro factory mold also shows an Action button above the Volume buttons. Apple is looking to replace the Mute Switch with an Apple Watch Ultra-like Action button on the 'Pro' models.
