OLED iPad Pro to house the best panel on a tablet

Apple is only days away from hosting its highly anticipated Let Loose event for the iPad Pro. It is now believed that the iPad Pro will come with "by far the best OLED tablet panels on the market."

Upcoming iPad Pro to house one of the "best OLED tablet panels" with better efficiency and much more

Apple is scheduled to host its iPad Pro event on May 7. The 'Pro' models will be the highlight of the event as the devices will undergo a major redesign. The tablet was reported to feature a glass back, MagSafe capabilities, and possibly slimmer bezels. However, the display of the 'Pro' models is slated to be the biggest change coming to the lineup. So far, Apple has only offered the OLED display on the iPhone and Apple Watch. We are glad that the company is finally making the jump, with other models set to receive the technology in a few years as well.

According to Display Supply Chain Consultants, Apple is working to offer one of the "best OLED tablet panels on the market" as part of its big launch. Earlier reports have suggested that the iPad Pro will house an LTPO panel, which will be more power-efficient than a standard OLED panel. The company's 120Hz ProMotion technology will also make its way to the upcoming iPad Pro, which will offer a variable refresh rate for enhanced efficiency.

Apple's OLED display on the iPad Pro will be one of a kind due to its tandem stack design and glass thinning, which will make the panels thinner and lighter compared to the mini-LED. Ultimately, this will deliver enhanced brightness levels, lower chances of screen burn-in issues, and extended battery life due to the low power-hungry nature of the display.

It was previously speculated that Apple's OLED display on the iPad Pro will feature unmatched image quality. It remains to be seen how the company will achieve it, as expectations are already high in this regard. Apple's forthcoming tablet is also expected to be powered by the M4 chip instead of the M3, which is an unusual decision but quite possible.

Apple will also announce the 12.9-inch iPad Air alongside the standard version. While the design will be identical, the company will ensure that the devices receive their fair share of upgrades. What are your expectations from the 'Pro' models? Let us know in the comments.
