Intel is in turmoil right now, but the company isn't backing away from the competition yet, as according to a new report, Team Blue plans to hold its next big event in Arizona.

Intel's Event in Arizona Likely to Unveil Next-Gen Panther Lake CPUs & An Update on Foundry Business

Under the new CEO, Lip-Bu Tan, Intel is undergoing massive restructuring across all departments, and the leadership initially plans to trim down operating losses by a wave of layoffs. While the firm is under a much weaker spot when it comes to competing with the likes of TSMC, Intel isn't planning to give up any time soon, as according to a new report by DigiTimes, the company is planning to hold their "Intel Technology Tour" in Phoenix, Arizona, which will be the first time Intel will have such a significant event in the region.

Intel's choice of holding the event in Arizona shows the company's deepened commitment to the area's supply chain, especially in the semiconductor realm. Arizona is emerging as the next "tech hub" for chip companies like TSMC, and Intel's presence shows that they won't back down from the competition just yet. Now, the Technology Tour event is one of Intel's major showcases, where the company will unveil specifics about its foundry strategy, and more importantly, discuss "the latest PC and data center processors.".

Now, we know Intel is on track to release its Panther Lake processors by the end of the year, with the official showcase happening by September. The lineup will be the first to adopt Intel's 18A process; hence, PTL is expected to be the main highlight. Apart from this, Intel is also expected to unveil its Xeon "Clearwater Forest" server CPUs, which are anticipated to witness decent adoption from the data center segment, giving Intel a chance to regain its lost market share. For the consumer segment in particular, Intel has a lot planned.

Team Blue is going through a rough patch, but the company has things lined up for its business in the future. In particular, the year-end and the start of 2026 would show us the look of a fresh and new "Intel", and this will start with their upcoming event in Arizona.
