Few games are expected to see some major improvements in performance across various Intel Arc GPU lineups.
Intel Rolls Out Arc Graphics Driver 32.0.101.8531, Reportedly Delivering Significant Performance Enhancements in Various Titles
Intel has released its latest Arc Graphics Driver 32.0.101.8531 for its Arc graphics products, improving performance and delivering various bug fixes, as well as adding support for a couple of new games. The new driver is reportedly improving performance in some games drastically when compared to the previous driver, 8509 (Intel also added XeSS 3 MFG support to Arc A and B-Series GPUs with this driver).
In the release notes, Intel says that the popular title Witcher 3 will now run with up to 35% higher average FPS at 1080p on high settings for users who are using the latest Intel Core Ultra 3 processors, aka Panther Lake. Panther Lake is the first Intel product to utilize the Xe3-based integrated graphics, and a 35% boost is definitely going to be noticeable. The new driver, thankfully, isn't just limited to the Panther Lake or Xe3-based graphics, but also offers optimizations for previous Arc families.
For users who own the Intel Arc B-series GPUs, such as the Battlemage cards like Arc B570 and B580, or are using the Intel Lunar Lake chips with Xe2-based iGPUs, they are expected to see 6-7% higher average FPS boost at 1080p/1440p on ultra settings in Resident Evil Requiem (DX12). For Arc Alchemist graphics owners, the game supposedly brings a massive performance boost of up to 40% at 1080p and up to 30% at 1440p on ultra settings.
Intel hasn't confirmed if other titles will see any improvements, but as of now, users should download the latest driver 8531, assuming they have the Intel Arc A or B-series GPUs, and are planning to purchase Resident Evil Requiem. Apart from performance improvements, there have been a couple of bug fixes for various games.
