The latest version of HWiNFO will now support the latest GeForce RTX 5090 D V2 graphics card, which was launched in China today.

The GeForce RTX 5090 D V2 launches today for the Chinese market. The card, which was unveiled officially a week ago, today makes its retail debut in China after the RTX 5090 D variant was banned a few months ago. This new RTX 5090 variant offers downgraded specifications, such as lower capacity VRAM, reduced memory bus width, and memory bandwidth.

GeForce RTX 5090 D V2 features the same shaders as the RTX 5090, but some of its capabilities have been nerfed to meet the US export policies. That said, the popular hardware monitoring software, HWiNFO, has added support for the new RTX 5090 D V2 graphics card, as can be seen in the release notes of version 8.30. With the latest version, RTX 5090 D V2 owners will be able to see accurate specifications for the GPU. This new GPU was listed yesterday by Colorful, starting at US$2,880, continuing the pricing trends of the RTX 5090 D, making the new GPU as expensive as the faster variant.

Apart from the RTX 5090 D V2, the RTX 5050 has also been added to the database, which was released last month. Moreover, the next-gen Intel Nova Lake also received early support in the software, once again, confirming Intel's progress on the new lineup for the mainstream market. However, it's not the first time it was seen in HWiNFO release notes, as the CPU series was also mentioned last year in February. This doesn't really reveal any new information on Nova Lake, but it likely hints at the development progress.

Intel's Nova Lake is supposedly coming next year for both desktop and mobile platforms, offering as many as 52 cores. There are rumors about Intel's Nova Lake AX, which reportedly offers a huge increase in L3 cache, but it's not yet confirmed for launch. We have been tracking Intel's progress on the CPU family for both desktop and mobile platforms, and we recently also reported on Intel's Nova Lake mobile chips, offering as fewer as six cores, all the way to 28 cores for the HX family.
