Huawei Mate 20 Live Image Plus Blueprint Leaks Out – No Notch but Dual-Camera Sensor Present

Huawei is expected to officially introduce the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro sometime in October. It was recently revealed that the Mate 20 Pro may sport a huge 6.9-inch OLED display procured from Samsung. Up until now, not a lot was known about the Mate 20, about the obvious fact that it will be smaller than the ‘Pro’ variant. Thanks to some recently leaked pictures, we now have a clear idea of what the Huawei Mate 20 will look like. The leaked images include a real life photo and a factory blueprint of what the phone will look like.

Huawei Mate 20 Will Not Adopt a Futuristic Design Like the OPPO Find X - Will Stick to a Regular Tall Display

The picture first showed up on Chinese websites and it reveals that the Mate 20 with very slim bezels and a display that curves to the sides. The quality of the leaked picture is just average, which is a characteristic of such pictures.

However, it is sufficient enough to give us an insight into what the phone will look like. The Mate 20 will have thin bezels at the top and the bottom and the image also shows that the borders on the left and the right sides of the smartphone are almost nonexistent.

Even though the image gives an idea of curved sides, this cannot be said with conviction due to the poor quality of the image. Apart from the picture of the Mate 20, a factory blueprint was also leaked. The CAD blueprint corroborates the design shown in the real life picture.

The sketch shows a device with really slim borders and a tall display with round edges. The Huawei logo is also present at the front of the smartphone, though it would have been better had the company shifted the name at the back as it would it room to reduce the chin bezels further.

It also seems as if the top bezels contain the dual selfie cameras but the apertures could very well be for some other sensors on top of the screen. The factory blueprint also shows the back of the handset with a vertical dual camera system and a fingerprint reader, which means that the Mate 20 Pro will only be receiving the triple-camera sensor.

As for the specifications, we know that the upcoming device will be fueled by the Kirin 980, Huawei’s first 7nm FinFET SoC, though it is not going to be the first to feature a 5G modem, sadly.
