Huawei Honor 20 Lineup Has 7nm Processors And Four Rear Cameras
After hearing bad news these past few days, Huawei has launched the Honor 20 lineup. The smartphone continues in the latest string of gadgets from the company that feature impressive camera specifications, and are powered by top-of-the-shelf processors. Today’s gadgets are powered by the company’s Kirin 980 SoC, and each device has four camera lenses on its back.
Huawei Honor 20 Is Official – Device Features 7nm Kiri 980 Processor, A Hefty Rear Camera Setup And Physical Fingerprint Recognition
The primary selling point of the Huawei Honor 20 is the device’s camera. As Google demonstrated with the Pixel 3a, beefy camera specifications with lower price tags have the potential to tap into markets unavailable to flagship gadgets.
At the Honor 20’s launch event in London, Huawei’s sub-brand Honor compared the devices directly with Apple’s iPhone XS Max and Samsung’s Galaxy S10 Plus. The company demonstrated that the Honor 20 lineup is capable of shooting ISO 51200 photographs. The smartphones have four camera sensors at the back. These are a 48MP Primary camera, a 16MP Super-Wide angle camera, an 8MP Telephoto Lens and a 2MP Macro lens. The four of these allow them to maximize the light gathered for image processing.
At the front, the devices have a 32MP selfie camera squeezed at the top left corner. This makes the Honor 20 lineup’s front identical to the S10 and S10e’s, with the only difference being the location of the sensor. The gadgets’ primary 48MP camera sensor has an f/1.4 aperture.
Honor’s latest smartphones will be powered by HiSilicon’s Kirin 980 SoC that is manufactured on the 7nm node. This chip can be coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.1 storage on the Honor 20 Pro. To keep things cool, the smartphones have a graphene cooling system on board. Battery size stands at 3750mAh for the Honor 20 and 4000mAh for the Honor 20 Pro. The latter can charge to a 50% capacity in 30 minutes.
Storage + RAM configurations are limited for the pair. The standard variant is available with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, and the ‘Pro’ variant is available with 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. The devices have price tags of $550 and $650 respectively. Finally, the Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro will get security updates from Google.
