Sand Land

Sand Land, the new open-world action-adventure based on one of Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama’s lesser-known works is out now, and its surprisingly complex for an anime adaptation. One of things you’re going to want to do early on to make your life easier is upgrade your home base of Spino Town. One of the most important Spino Town upgrades is the EX Chip Dealer, which will allow you go easily purchase chips you can use to customize your vehicles’ abilities. You’ll have to complete a series of sidequests in order to get the EX Chip Dealer, but don’t worry, we’ll walk you through it…

Before trying to unlock the EX Chip Dealer in Spino Town, you should first try to unlock the Workshop, as a lot of the steps required for that are also pre-requisites for the EX Chip Dealer. Specifically, you’re going to want to find Spino Town and complete the “Headin' South!” main campaign quest, as well as the “Tinkerer Siblings” (here’s how to that) and “Slacker Junker” sidequests (here’s how to do that). With all that complete you’ll have to complete the “EX Chip Hunt” sidequest.

EX Chip Hunt

Head to the Junker Market in Lisab and talk to the NPC Arthur. He’ll be hanging outside the gates rummaging through some trash. He’ll ask you to seek out of source or rare metals.

Head south-east of Lisab down a narrow path riddled with scrap metal and trash. You’ll eventually come to the Old Junkyard area.

Defeat the Queen Scorpion here. Once you do, Arthur will show up to thank you. The mission is complete and Arthur will move to Spino.

And there you go! The Spino EX Chip Dealer is now open for business!  You can complete the “A Playful Find” sidequest to further expand the EX Chip Dealer’s selection.

Sand Land is available now on PC, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PS5. You can check out Wccftech’s other Sand Land guides here.
