How to Disable the Touchpad Gestures on Windows 11 Computers
Multi-touch gestures are very useful, especially if you use trackpads with your PCs. However, sometimes you may accidentally trigger a ton of actions, and that can be problematic for some people. If you wish to turn this multi-touch feature off, you can very quickly do so. In this tutorial, I will show you how to disable the touchpad gestures on Windows 11 computers.
Disable Touchpad Gestures Windows 11
Turning off this feature is very simple and will hardly take a minute. Just follow the steps below:
Step-1: Click on the Windows icon on the taskbar and then click on the Settings cog. (You can also open the Settings app by using the shortcut keys Win + I)
Step-2: Once the Settings app opens, click on Bluetooth & devices in the left pane.
Step-3: Scroll down and select Touchpad.
Step-4: Click on the Scroll & Zoom option to expand it.
Step-5: Once it expands, you will see three options. You can disable the Drag two fingers to scroll option and Pinch to Zoom option by unchecking the boxes.
Step-6: Click on the Three-finger gestures option to expand it. Once the option expands, you will see drop-down menus next to Swipes and Taps. Select Nothing in both these menus.
Step-7: After this, click on the Four-finger gestures option to expand it. Similarly, as in Step-6, you will see drop-down menus next to Swipes and Taps. Select Nothing in both these menus.
Step-8: Once you are satisfied with the changes, close Settings.
If you want to enable the gestures again, follow all the steps above, and instead of unchecking in step-5, check the boxes, and in steps 6-7, change the selection from nothing to whatever suits you.
