Whenever someone calls you, tweets at you, sends you a message on Facebook, a notification shows up on the lock screen for everyone to see. Sure, you can sprinkle some privacy on your notifications by turning off notification previews on the lock screen. But, you can truly take things further by simply hiding the notification altogether for a particular app. This means that when your iPhone or iPad is locked, you won't see a notification for the app you have hidden. So when that DM comes at your way with a sick tweet, your lock screen will show nothing. If your iPhone or iPad is unlocked you'll see the banner as usual. So, in today's tutorial we will show you how you can hide lock screen notifications in a few simple steps.
Tutorial
Step 1. Launch the Settings app.
Step 2. Tap on Notifications.
Step 3. Find the app in the list whose notification you do not want to see on the lock screen and then tap on it to reveal more options.
Step 4. Under the Alerts section, simply uncheck the 'Lock Screen' option.
From now on, whenever there is a notification for that particular app, you won't see it on the lock screen. Of course, if you want to take things further, you can disable the notifications altogether by unchecking the 'Notification Center' and 'Banner' options. Or just tap on the 'Allow Notifications' options for the ultimate in privacy.
There are a lot of reasons why you'd want to take this route. Whatever that might be, iOS and iPadOS both have the necessary options to cater to what you want. Just remember one thing, keep good tabs on what you have disabled and enabled. There is a chance that you might hide lock screen notifications temporarily and later on end up missing the important stuff.
