With over a dozen characters, Granblue Fantasy Relink can quickly become a very grindy game, especially if you like using multiple characters and want to keep their power level, gear, and Masteries in line with those of your stronger characters. Thankfully, the endgame provides plenty of opportunities for farming.

Farming Mastery Points, much like farming experience points, should only be done after completing the main campaign. While it can be tempting to complete some quests over and over to obtain the Mastery Points required to unlock nodes on the Masteries of the characters you have unlocked before seeing the ending of the story, you are going to spend a lot of time only to achieve subpar results, as no farming method available before the endgame is as effective as one that will become available at the highest Skyfarer rank in the game.

To farm Mastery Points effectively in Granblue Fantasy Relink, you will have to reach the Zegagrande Legend Skyfarer rank in the endgame by completing quests and unlock the Maniac difficulty quests. Once this is done, additional subquests will be available in both of the game's main hubs. Head over to Folca, complete a few of the new side quests, and a new NPC, the Gifted Merchant, will eventually appear near the Quest Counter. This NPC offers a sidequest that requires you to bring him five Fire Shards and Five Earth Shards, rewarding you with 9800 rupies and 700 Mastery Points. The best thing about this quest is that you can repeat this over and over by simply leaving Folca and talking with the NPC again, or even better, opening and then closing Lyria's Journal via the main menu.

Getting Fire and Earth Shards to complete this quest over and over to farm Mastery Points is extremely simple. To farm Fire Shards, you can complete The Saga Continues: Fire Normal difficulty quest, as Vulkan Bolla drops around 6 Fire Shards, with a few additional ones getting handed out as quest completion rewards. To farm Earth Shards, on the other hand, the quest to complete is the Very Hard difficulty quest Golemology 102: Volcanic Golems, as sometimes the Rock Golem will also drop Fire Shards. If you have a lot of Rafale Coins, as well as Desert Ash and Fire Worm materials, you can also exchange them for shards at Siero's shop.

In case you have tons of Water and Wind Shards, you can use them to complete another quest handed out by another NPC in Folca that will reward you with 700 Mastery Points. By completing these quests over and over, you will quickly have all the points needed to completely unlock all characters' Masteries
