Naval combat is a big part of the Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced experience, and the game mechanic you will engage with the most as you accompany Edward Kenway on his journey to become a rich pirate. However, if all you are aiming for is plundering enemy ships, you can use a very handy trick to board them without firing a single time with your Jackdaw's cannons.

How to Board Any Ship Easily

As you know, properly plundering a ship in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced requires you to board it and force the enemy crew to surrender. However, this trick allows you to skip the naval combat part, and get you straight to boarding:
- Approach the ship you want to board but don't attack it.
- Get as close as you can, possibly even in front of it to force it to maneuver and thus slow it down
- Dive into the sea and board the ship manually
- Deplete the crew's morale by defeating all enemies on board.
This trick is particularly useful to plunder ships your Jackdawn would have no chance against in direct combat, and even complete Naval Convoy missions without having to fight against the escort ships, as, for some reason, boarding ships this way doesn't antagonize any nearby ship.
Pros and Cons

Using this trick to board ships in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced has a few pros and cons to weight.
Pros
- You can plunder ships in groups without having the others retaliate
- It is much faster than damaging the ship and then boarding
- You can loot the dead crew, without a time limit
Cons
- You do not get the same rewards choice you do when you board ships normally, such lowering your wanted level, repairing your ship, add the ship to Kenway's Fleet or open the Captain's Strongbox.
