Halo content is coming to PlayStation through a Helldivers 2 crossover event.

Halo is coming to PlayStation, but not in the way you might have been hoping for, at least for now. A new Helldivers 2 warbond as part of the game's arrival on Xbox next week brings the look of Halo: ODST to Super Earth's brave Helldivers across PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

If you showed a gamer from 20 years ago the following trailer, where a Halo-related announcement began with the PlayStation Studios logo, they'd be shocked and awed. But in 2025, with Gears of War: Reloaded set to arrive on PS5 next week, and several previously Xbox-exclusive titles already on PlayStation, it's far less surprising, but no less fun to see for anyone who remembers what the divide between platforms felt like 20 years ago.

The warbond will feature classic Halo weapons like the MA5C Assault Rifle and the M6C/SOCOM Pistol, and the ODST-styled armor set that Halo fans know so well. It'll also feature new capes, armor passive, player banners and a player title.

The warbond will be available the same day that Helldivers 2 arrives on Xbox Series X/S, on August 26, 2025. Which is also the same day that Gears of War: Reloaded will arrive on PlayStation 5.
